I contributed to the background research for the introduction of the technical report, such as:

The main problems warehouses are facing.

-Inaccurate inventory

-Suboptimal picking

-High labor costs

The current situation of warehouses and the importance of embracing technology (automation and robotics) in order to solve the issues.

Commonly used devices in a warehouse.

-Conveyors (automated)

-Lifting Equipment (automated)

-Organizational Tools (manual)

Finally linking everything back to the purpose of the report by stating, "Despite the importance of a barcode reader in a warehouse, there is very little r&d of such attachments for robotic arms in order to automate the process and bluh bluh bluh…"

"Communication skills are an essential component in the education of engineering students to facilitate not just students' education but also to prepare them for their future careers."      Marc Riemer, Faculty of Engineering, Monash University (2007) My partner and I agree with the statement above. We think that professors need to be able to deliver the learning material in an engaging and precise manner in order to properly impart knowledge onto the students who will become the next generation of engineers.
