The Importance of Communication Skills for Engineers

"Communication skills are an essential component in the education of engineering students to facilitate not just students' education but also to prepare them for their future careers."      Marc Riemer, Faculty of Engineering, Monash University (2007) My partner and I agree with the statement above. We think that professors need to be able to deliver the learning material in an engaging and precise manner in order to properly impart knowledge onto the students who will become the next generation of engineers. Furthermore, we believe that communication is a two way street and as such students also need to do their part by voicing out their concerns and not be afraid to ask for help.
